The surveillance have gone way too far when people must self sensor formerly commonly used harmless expressions to avoid trouble. That is why I never want to go to that country, even if I was paid and invited. I actually was once trough work and convinced my boss it would be better to arrange that meeting somewhere else. Now with a clown almost becoming a president, proving way too many crazy people over there. Sorry for that rant. Its many nice and smart americans too. Its those others that repels.

I think you probably have a warped view of America based on popular media.
It reminds me of a Polish guy I met in Germany, who was making dinner for our hostel. He thought my girlfriend and I were from England because we knew how to cook and weren't fat. He was legitamitely surprised when I told him we were American, he sad "don't you guys never cook? I thought you guys just ate TV dinners all the time?" it would have been more funny if he wasn't dead serious.

Sorry, that was a rant, not an attempt to derail this tread. I don't think media is to blame for the surveillance, police brutality, ridiculously corrupt court system, political system, banking system and so on. I think viewing it from the outside is a strength, not a weakness.

Except you do have a warped view because you talk about the US like it's some third-world country, it's really not that bad. That's all I'll say to that, because the you can't convince people to change their mind on an internet forum.

I assume you're talking about Donald Trump and he is really far from "almost becoming president."

Sure. Not interested in a political discussion at all, but I think folks not based in the United States have a very skewed view of the primary process. Howard Dean was going to win everything before his Iowa scream and was never heard from again.

Apparently the placing of the tripod mount was a problem, grazing fingers, making for bloody photographers.
Really? The tripod collar and foot looks the same as the one on the DFA 150-450 zoom, and the gap between lens and the foot is larger than on my Sigma 70-200 (and looks larger than the Tamron 70-200 foot too).

Was it pinching fingers when mounting on the camera? It will be interesting to see what exterior changes show up on the released lens.

There is probably a large list of words or phrases you don't want a US or any other border official to find against your name when they do a Google search.

The foot on the 150-450 is spaced very differently. Several posts earlier on in this thread are worth having a look at, beginning from here:

The version i tested was just as quick as the nikon ones i had. The problem wasn't the lens, but the camera. the 70-200 on the FF is another world compared to it on the K-3/K-3 II
Would you think that Ricoh can/will provide a software update for the K3 and K3ll to increase the performance of the new 70-200??
