And a far as AF can be fast with that body, it is with this lens and others D-FAs, about the same than with DA 16-85mm.

Spoke with the Ricoh rep. at Hunts Photo Video in Melrose, MA during their big annual sales event. He said the DFA 70-200mm/f2.8 should start shipping this month, "any day now..."
He also said there should be "announcements" in time for CES, and was very interested in which full-frame lenses I owned.

The buzz now certainly seems to be around a November launch.
But B&H are still conservatively saying: 'Expected availability: February 25 2016' - ie by the time the FF is presumably launched at CP+.

They said i would get my copy in November, so would guess it starts shipping in November.

I tested the lens yesterday at Salon de la photo Paris and ask Ricoh about the lens release date, it will be on shelf in 2 weeks !!!

Not shure yet..Either Bullet for my Valentine, Ghost, Motörhead or Children of Bodom.

I have already tested it at concert. But that was a pre-production model.

Nice concerts. I have been hearing Cirice by Ghost quite a bit lately.

Fingers crossed it'll be Bullet for My Valentine! Since that means the lens ships this week and I can get it in time for my girls' dance recital. Then we can have a thread with kenspo's kickass metal concert shots juxtaposed with my little ones being sassy in tutus.

(Why does this make me think of Alice Bowie from Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke?)
