The K-mount is the context.

The context is the diameter of the mount and the location of the bottom plate. The rest of the front facing dimensions may be calculated from those two.

New mount, the lenses are the size of telephone poles.

You now need to modify a small house to use as a tripod.

Depends on what part of the country. Tokyo is about the same latitude as Santa Barbara, though the climate sounds a little more like San Francisco. Wikipedia says there is a one month seasonal lag meaning that the warmer Spring weather tends to hit in April/May rather than March/April. The cherries bloom in March, so perhaps that might be the target

isn't global warming bringing the spring earlier?
anyway, I will not be ready by then. Maybe this time next can I consider a new FF camera, if price is not too high. So I can, and I have to wait :-)

Well, Spring started in January in the old Japanese calendar up until the 19th century.

So maybe Ricoh will be using a new Sony sensor and they have to wait six months after Sony releases it. After all the DigitalRev people pointed out that the trend with the A7 is Sony follows up with another A7 model in the fall.

Yes this is most probable, and then an Autumn (Aus) 2016 release.

Nikon would not be satisfied with 42mp sensor after Sony and Pentax.
