Patience, patience. It will be released, it will be released. In my lifetime - - maybe. The box will come from B&H. Any time now. Patience.

Should we be discussing expected or hoped for features? For me: 1) MUST have back compatibility for K-mount lenses at least as good as a K3; 2) MUST have a tilt-swivel rear screen. Without these, the FF is DOA for me.
Why not? Every FF thread for the last 5 years has devolved into wish lists...or hype for mirrorless.

Just because the body is delayed, is no reason for them to delay the release of the new glass. Ricoh doesn't seem to be very good at making the trains run on time.

Oh please, Nikon released a D800, and didn't really get it right until the D810 same with the D600 and D610, who releases what "on time" is all a matter of optics and arbitrary judgements.

Yes. Because Nikon's incompetency is a good defense for Ricoh's incompetency.

Exactly how is it a "matter of optics"?

yep, D800 was crap.
common.
thing is, we see nothing substantial when it comes to FF from pentax. I can understand a delay, but an official statement would have done better than a new 'teaser'.

By then, I'll probably be in bed with Sony or Canon. It's been a good 5 year ride with Pentax but this is business.
I'm at a point where I can't stay with a company who can't keep their words and has little interest in supporting the needs of their loyal customers.
Maybe I'll keep my k3 as a souvenir.

"I have heard a little bit before that Pentax delays the release of FF. It seems that it takes more time to develop a breakthrough technology in it. It's not confirmed, but I'm wondering what the breakthrough technology is"

A "breakthrough technology" improvement (to me at least) would be more of an evolution then a breakthrough - Namely being able to shoot moving objects in the pixel shift mode!

It would not need to capture extremely fast moving objects, but just fast enough to be able to capture moving water, or grass/leaves moving in a gentle breeze.

I did not buy a full frame until now, not because Pentax did not have a FF, but because I considered the prices of Canon 5Ds and Nikon D810 to be to high for the benefits compared to APSC. However, the D750 (not the 6D) seems to be better value for money, and with recently released Tamron 150-600 and Sigma 150-600 lenses not available in K-mount, buying a D750 + Sigma 150-600 S / Tamron 150-600 combo is tempting. So, I was going to swap my DA300 f4 with DFA150-450, but I've put any K-mount purchases on hold since K-3 release. Now, I'm affraid that if I get a D750+150-600, it won't take a lot of effort to complete the system with Tamy 24-70 f2.8 and then the Pentax gear might remain in the cartons.

They should let some specs get leaked to keep interest up. I have applied to be financed for new equipment and unfortunately, if my application gets approved, i will have to go with Nikon...
I was really hoping Pentax would introduce a competitor next month...

I like the size. Not that much bigger all round than the K-5 I have on my desk in front of me.

I hadn't been planning to buy this thing for quite a while; I'm quite content to wait it out. But the relative compactness of it appeals to me. A lot.

It interests me that we have no clear shot of the side of the mount where the aperture coupling arm would be in a film camera. We have no clear idea what's going on in there at all. This gives me hope.

If they get this thing right, and I think they will, it will blow the opposition away, regardless of how late it is. Give them time to make it perfect and quit your impatient whining, people.

I dont buy the spring 2016 version either now, well Ill buy a june 2016 date (which is still spring here in France) but it's goin to be too much wait for me.
I know myslef I wont be able to keep the money I saved past black friday

I will hope for specs and price by october 6th, that might calm me down from moving to aother company.

Oh and the bulls*!t about the postponed reasons by the marketing crew is really bad...
Just buy a Sony A7rii. Manual focus is easy and it will likely have better or same image quality when the Pentax if it is ever finally released. The video quality on the Sony will be miles better for sure

Wrong. They started in 2012, which was also the year they told us about it.
Ummmm...I do believe they started in 2000 with the MZ-D prototype and announcement.

67iiD...

I think the design is going to be reminiscent of the 67ii, a gorgeous camera if there ever was one. Looking forward to it, and to my FA* glass prices going through the roof.

Cheers,
Cameron
