6 or 7 fps framerate for stills??? Wont be... thats a jammer-rumour.... 24mp of Data ar 24mp of data... wether it is a fullframe or not K-3 offers 8.3fps in still mode. that would be retrogress instead of progress... Why should the FF offer less CPU power... that just doesnt fit. sry.

in other words: Such a still framerate would not be evolutionary if the Camera really offers app. 24MP....

I count on a lot of CPU power and 4K Video... since the K-3 offers a dedicated video record button, RICOH seemingly wants to do something about the video capabilities of their DSLRs. And a FF Pentax DSLR that could compete with a Nikon D4s when it comes to continuous shooting and with a Nikon D750 when it comes to the price tag would be the real deal... so i hope for at least 10fps in still mode when the sensor is a 24.5 MP Sensor...(that would be sufficient for me.)
I could also live with about 32 MP... but i guess that will throw us back to 8 fps...

And yes I would love to have 4K video on board.. why ? Because that also would require more CPU power and high performance internal Memory... which would also lead to more power for continuous shooting (if not restricted in favor of an already sketched out successor, that waits for a destined "sale figure" of the first PENTAX branded FF we will see.)

I think that both the 24 MP number and the 6-7 FPS number cannot possibly be true. Neither make sense, and as you pointed out, together they make even less sense.

I'm hoping for 36-42 MP and ~8 FPS.

A Sony A7R (original) is probably selling for dirt-cheap these days, yet will hold its resale value decently for at least another 6-12 months if you buy used and get a great deal. For anyone with a large staple of Pentax lenses who wants to get their hands on a full-frame sensor, hawk Ebay for a used A7R and Pentax-to-FE adapter, play around with your Pentax FF lenses, and see what happens in ~6 months.

=Matt=
MaybeI I didn't got it, but that's an MF experience... you also loose SR and WR. I don't see the point. It more than negate all the benefits of an FF body to me.

Sure some of us love MF, but then if the A7R offer great experience and you are happy with MF, why should you go back to a more expensive Pentax FF body?

You need HD coatings to your crystalball. And SR, WR and perhaps a manual.
