New Pentax lenses rumored for this Friday

Look, I don't want to get into a debate about things which are highly subjective. It would be pointless for all involved.
I merely offered some reasons why people might still prefer made for APS-C lenses instead of new D FAs. But, I repeat, most D FAs will work well on APS-C.

Okay, now I see what you mean. I find 28 wide enough for most of my purposes on APS-C, but I accept that others may not.

There's a recurring rumor the DA 12-24 is discontinued. If it's true then the DA range is incomplete and a new DFA ultrawide would be an interesting way to fill the gap for APS-C and FF.

Anyone else wondering if there are going to be new lenses announced besides the zooms from the roadmap? I saw in another forum that somebody said Ricoh's North American webstore no longer offers the 43mm, even as a backorder. I could have sworn they had that lens on there within the last couple months, and they usually keep backordered lenses on their store.

asahiman hinted that new primes are coming in 2016. Since I have all the magic limiteds, I have no fear if they will need more time to make other/new ones. Although I'd be really interested in new and fast 85, 100, 135 mm lenses.
