Okay, this is currently my biggest concern with this one as a concert lens :/

Right now I use the sigma 17-50 as a "budget" lens on my K5 for concert shooting and really like to have more on the long end, but on the other hand like some of my 17mm photos shot with it, too

The dilemma right now is that I cant afford to upgrade to FF + get this 24-70 - I think (not 100% sure cause no price for the FF out yet but I have a feeling ) So my plan is/was to get this + a used K3 / K3(II) once the FF is out, but you sound like it may not be the best idea...

I had the chance to borrow Kenspos lens this weekend for something totally different. Really nice lens at K-3, sharp, silent, fast focus and nice soft out of focus areas. Here´s one for the Bokeh people @ f/3.5:

really KENSPO is saying..hahaha I have the new FF here in my hands ..do you feel lucky 'punk'
It's not "gamle norsk", it's a dialect which they speak in the Romsdal area in north western Norway. "Fole" is not føle (feel). It's a Romsdal way of expressing strong feelings. "e so fole ta her" means something like, "This is so nice", I believe. Am I right, Mundus and kenspo? I'm not from Romsdal myself, but I lived there for half a year, and picked up a few "quirks" of their dialect.

Edit: Just realised I answered an old post, and most of my "revelations" were already revealed.

To be exactly, I'm from a small island called Aukra. Check it out! The county is called Romsdalen.
I believe people from Nordmøre and Sunnmøre would protest that you call the whole county Romsdalen ...

Wow, Kenneth. That last concert shot is awesome! And it is only maybe 20% due to the lens.

Great feedback, and very nice Bokeh in my opinion. Thanks for sharing the information and the image.

And one more. The new 24-70 is not only sharp as hell, but it handles flair VERY good. This is shot straight into the lights. Almost no flair at all. Not seen any lens from Pentax that handles this as good as the 24-70. Good stuff!

As a full-time wedding photographer based in the US, I'd love to get my hands on the 24-70 and the K-1 (FF) next spring. I'll have to contact my friends who know the Pentax USA folks and see if they'll send me a loaner for review...

So, if you need a "second" on a wedding gig, you can fly me out there. I'll help you try out and test the FF equipment. And I won't even charge you.

I just noticed that the Australian Pentax distributor has the lens priced at AUD $1999

The Tamron 24-70 is commonly available locally for AUD $1100 ...

The US pricing of the Pentax and Tamron lenses (eg at B&H) has them at about the same price.
