Fastest lens i've used from Pentax so far. 70-200 and maybe the 31 is only ones close.
You're referring to the focus when you say fastest here, correct? If so, that pretty much seals the deal for any wedding/event photographers. At this point, it sounds like the only negative to the lens is the unknown long-term reliability.

Do you have any information to offer on AF.C performance with the K3 II, specifically tracking on the z-axis?

Seems as if this lens is still quite rare... at least there are hardly any sample pictures posted by users... neither here nor at other websites. Maybe people are waiting for the new FF-Pentax before the place an order?

So folks, please post pictures of this adorable lens

Yeah, I was more interested in the in-focus rate when tracking subjects coming towards or going away from you

I really wish that this lens comes around $1000 .. The DFA 150-450 is now at $1,896 ( started at $2500 MRSP) at Amazon... perhaps this one will drop a little too in the next few months.

The seriousness of the lens to be introduced 'soon' tells about how much they are willing to please and quick fix the screw up they did.
So if they wish to launch fast normal zoom, 6 months ahead, it means Ricoh knows they had screwed up badly.
Or the lens came out on time, and the camera is delayed. What? Were they supposed to slow down the lens release because the camera was late? The way you think leaves me scratching my head, quite a lot of the time?
