Just got the email that the lens shipped should be here Thursday


....along with the DA*300 my wife ordered yesterday - just in time for the weekend !!

Hard to believe there isn't a review or preview out yet. Some stores have it in stock now. oh well, I guess without a FF there isnt as much point.

Of course it is! Its sharper and faster then most other similar lenses Im going to use it on some concerts soon!

My wife is supposed to get her copy in on Wednesday, but I certainly won't have time to shoot with it at all till the weekend...

I assume this will have very sharp edges and sharp corners at f/2.8 on APS-C (maybe the sharpest zoom available in Pentax mount). Therefor maybe Pentax can expect a decent number of sales from folks who plan to stick with APS-C.

Isn't this Tamron 24-70 f2.8 lens known to have onion bokeh? Maybe the Pentax version has been corrected from this problem?

Sorry just started a thread to see if anyone actually had it. I am itching to buy new glass and this is high on the list - oddly like Longbow I am looking to get a 300 as well. If anyone finds a review of actual field test please share.
