To me, that says that K-1's are probably rolling off the assembly line somewhere in Cebu right now, being placed in Ricoh K-1 boxes, and the first batches are on their way to reviewers, testers and distribution partners (operating under NDA).

Kenspo should be getting his K-1's very soon.

Hopefully this means some more K-1 specs will also start to trickle out soon too.

I think the announcement schedule is before or at Feb 25 week. Once there is an announcement, we will see the details of the camera and have time to make our choice if you really want to get it at first hand. The shipping date will be around end of March. So it will not collide with April. 1

I first saw that article after I joined PF (three years late) it was even funnier because there actually was a (APS-C) K-3.

Pentax had a FF plan (24Mb DSLR similar to Nikon d600 or canon 6d) around 2012. It was cancelled or changed to the current one... I guess that it might be reason why k3 is previously thought as a ff!
