It seems there are a lot of rumors, unofficial infos and probably also speculations and amazing deductions around here, and comming from different places in the world.
That is funny entertainment for the last month in the waiting of CP+ !
For the bit i know of, and inspired the above picture, all i can say is that it comes from rather unexpected circumstances, independent source, and that it corresponds to what we already saw in the past : pentax announcement often taking place on thursday and before international events.

Thanks for the pictures. I think the exact date is not very important here. It can be either 2/18 or 2/21 or 2/24. At least we will see the announcement before CP+. Cannot wait for this date....

Pentax' next announcement, before announcing the K1 and specific specs should be about lenses or an update of the roadmap. HD coating will not do wonders for the FA Ltd series, they need new AF motors and could do will better performance for digital capture.

I guess an NDA in force that anyone who has had any official exposure to the Pentax FF has had to sign. 18th is the day the NDA elapses?

It would make marketing sense for this NDA to elapse a week or so ahead of the CP+ launch of the camera, to build buzz, let reviewers meet deadlines, retailers distribute promotional material etc.

True. But I was trying to understand why 18/2 has come up for discussion. Implies an announcement well ahead of CP+.
