Why not? Ricoh Imaging use to make their announcements a bit ahead of big events. Being an outsider, they would take the chance of being unnoticed if they did otherwise. Sometimes they even split their announcements in two parts:

2012 (CP+ started on February 9th)

- February 2nd: K-01 and a GXR lensor
- February 7th: Optio WG-2 and WG-2 GPS

2014 (CP+ started on February 13th)

- February 5th: HD DA AF 1,4x AW (converter), WG-20 and WG-4 / WG-4 GPS

2015 (CP+ started on February 12th)

- February 4th: HD D FA★ 70-200mm f/2.8 ED DC AW and HD D FA 150-450mm f/4.5-5.6 ED DC AW

Reasonable again. So the possible announcement date really spans 2/18 - 2/22 :-)

So I was just in a private room and saw that the official date Ricoh talks is February 25th. YOU HEARD IT HERE FOLKS.

Actually, I am in my living room and I saw the CP+ front page says it starts on the 25th.

Pentax should make sure that the world pays attention... we can expect a lot more announcements form others at CP+ and yes these announcement will affect Pentax and the future of FF. Canon should present a camea in the same price bracket as the K1 plus some follow up of the current 5D. Add a couple IS lenses or VR from Nikon and the Pentax combo is losing a lot of its advantages - no wonder after all the delays.
After the Pentax announcement we need to digest features, wait for serious people report on the features and camera and lenses to its pears. So before summer, we will have no clue, but excitement will only start after we get to know the bare sepcs.

And a 24x36 kit zoom (a.k.a. D FA Standard zoom), like a 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6.

And perhaps the successor to K-3 II (sort of an 'APS-C K-1') and possibly the 12-28ish DA Wide zoom. Definitely not at CP+ for those two and may be not this year for the latter.

I take it nobody is expecting anything re. new Q camera and lenses.

The people in the Q forum certainly are hoping for a new Q camera and maybe some lenses. It seems that Q equipment in the past has just appeared with no forwarning. Maybe they will do that again. Probably later in the year.
