In non-FF news/rumors... Any chance we'll see the "DA wide zoom" (12-28ish) at CP+? Or in 2016?
The issue is that in last four years, almost no patent for (12-28ish) lenses for Pentax. I saw 12-24 F3.5-4.5 and 12-35 F3.5-4.5 applied five years ago.

http://photorumors.com/2012/04/02/pentax-12-24mm-f3-5-4-5-lens-patent/
http://photorumors.com/2010/12/16/pentax-files-a-patent-for-a-da-12-35mm-f3-...l-wr-sdm-lens/

So if it exists ("DA wide zoom"), it sounds to be either those designs (12-30ish F3.5-4.5) + HD coating or from Tamron:

Well.. looks like the spanish site Pentaxeros wasnt that lost when they placed the new FF at exactly 2000 euros almost since the announcement. And also looks like pentax is keaping their tradition to place great products at really competitive prices.... which is great.

I wonder what the price will be for the US market.. most of the time price is cheaper than in Europe.. so.. will that mean that the FF could be around $2000 ??

Some photos claimed to be K1 + FA SMC 135 F2.8. It is strange that the author chooses to use 135 F2.8.

Here you go! Pentax K-1 full frame DSLR camera: price and kit lens info | Pentax Rumors

It says K-1 is to be sold with a kit lens, in addition to a body only offering. The kit lens will be the (new) 28-105 f/3.5-5.6. This does sound a bit slow, but is on point with what everyone's been saying about a kit lens, and considering the 16-85 is so good, I think this ought to be a winner too...

Also mentions the Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 rebrand.

Kenspo, this wasn't you, was it? of course not

It might be a super sharp & versatile lens. I did not complain the lens. It will be cheap (Canon and Nikon version are well below $400). In my mind that the best kit lens for pentax FF should be 24-105 F4 or 15-30 F2.8 or 24-70 F2.8 or 50 F1.2...

I think the point is if Pentax really want to target the pro market, a slow, variable-aperture lens is not the way to go no matter how good the lens is. It might be awesome lens, but it will be relegated to the enthusiast category by pros.
Sure. But why not add another $1200 to the price for a lens.

This is probably an ok lens, but if you are serious you buy a couple bodies and the more expensive zooms they have just released.

Very simple, the pro will buy the body only.
This kit lens is not for pro is for the rest of the world.
