So what options will Pentax have, ofering les than 24mm and coverage of the full sensor? I understand they cannot offer the same choice as Nikon or Canon, but at least one real wide lens (non fisheye) has to be available. So they'd better get the lenes up and running. A 2500$ pro DSLR body is not the same like a small, light mirrorless for 500 or 800$, where people more easily accept that a 18-55, 50-200 and 2 pancakes is all they can buy to fit this camera. Sigma, Tokina and Tamron are not urging for that Pentax FF market either, so won't be easy to fill all the gaps by their lenses, right?
And they should have a look at primes, too. Well, the 24-70/2.8 is certainly a good zoom lens, offering about the same quality as the Nikon and Canon. Great, but both Canon and Nikon have prime lenses too, at 20 24, 28, 35mm, going beyong the zoom lenses in terms of resolution,... So the 36 MP aren't at the end the same as the 36 MP in a D810 or the 50 MP in a 5Ds R, bet the 5Ds R in combination with the 24mm L will be clearly better than the 24-70/2.8 Oentax/Tamron on a 36 MP, be it a Pentax or Nikon body?
