Kens--pro.. seems to be a cool name :-) Anyway, since Pentax did not patents for 15-30 or FF primes in last 5-6 years, it is very likely that
1) 15-30 is similar to 24-70, which has co-works with Tamron. I think it is a very smart step. Thinking about the price of Canon and Nikon for the similar lens, Pentaxians can buy 15-30 and 24-70 with half of the price, but same or even better IQ! Tamron 15-30 is an excellent lens.

2)FF primes sound to come from old primes + new coatings + DC/SDM. Cannot wait to see new 50 1.2, 85 1.4 and 135 1.8...

15-30 will be rebranded Tamron, just like 24-70

I would like to see something similar to my SMC DA 15mm Limited on FF - I am already thinking of purchasing the FA 20mm f2.8, I found one almost new.

Also, I have the Sigma 35mm Art and I've recently acquired the FA 77 and FA 43, so if they release some new primes I would like them to be 50, 85, 135 etc.

I honestly can't see them NOT releasing a 50mm D-FA (non-macro) prime, unless they decided to go retro and chose 55mm instead. Hey, it's Pentax; they do stuff like that. Though frankly my bet is for 50mm, as releasing a fast D-FA 55 might undercut the 55mm DA*.

They could always do something really weird and go all the way to 58mm, but I doubt it. What remains to be seen is the exact nature of the build - will it just be an upmarket DA50/1.8 (Quick shift, metal mount, WR and possibly DC), or will they also/instead give us some really classy, uber-expensive f/1.2 or f/1.4 bokeh monster?

Apparently the DA* 55mm already covers the full frame circle, but if I remember correctly the current hood might cause vignetting on FF. My thought is (I think I might have said this upthread): give it HD coatings, a faster DC focus motor (the DA* is said to have a slow AF motor) and ship it with two different hoods (the current one and one for FF). Presto - great normal prime for FF plus revamped portrait APS-C lens... I somehow doubt it will happen in the near term though. We're more likely to see a 15-30mm F/2.8 (rebadged Tamron) first, IMHO.

Excellent. Tamron is around $1200. Pentax version (with upgrade on coating) should be similar (as 24-70), much cheaper than canon, Nikon version.... So it is really a budget wide angle lens with fantastic IQ! (Made in Japan also instead of Vitenam!)

Yeah, I think they want to get a Pentax zoom holy trinity out there quickly - at the very least a dynamic duo (24-70/70-200) for pro photographers with cash to burn who want to walk out the store ready to rock.

Which seems logical to me.
I hope they won't forget pro/prosumer f/4 zooms too (and not constructed like a DA16-45 bit like a real pro zoom).

Like the DA* 60-250/4 but 35mm image circle?

Yep, along those lines. A bit better range than the f/2.8 zooms and affordable (no, not cheap).
Dunno, something as:
- DFA 24-80 or -90/4
- DFA 70-200 or better 60-250/4 (but real FF this time).

And then a range of affordable 1.8 primes à la Nikon but good construction. 50/1.8 is excellent but construction is cheap (and it is ok, it IS cheap). 35/1.8, 85/1.8 etc.

For 60-250F4, Pentax just needs to change the name from DA to DFA, then done.

Not according to most comments (not mine, I don't have it).

I see. Not full 35mm circle... Might just need a very small tweak...

I think we can wait for a HD* 85/1,4. A rebadged HD 50/1,4 or may be 1,2.
