Training will probably take about a day, maybe two at most.
What sort of stuff is the training likely to cover? If it's a full 'how to technically service the camera' training session, I would have expected more than one or two days of training.

Unless the camera is some sort of innovative design that is full of modular parts that are essentially un-serviceable outside of the factory, like some mobile phones nowadays.

I don't think asahiman is German, because Germans have better English. Philipino's too. Maybe Vietnamese or Chinese.
Five versions already... I guess he is American. Wait a minute, she?

Asahi man's profile on DPreview arbored the Philipines flag : i cannot find it again, but this was the case at least for the past year.
He can confirm.

Note that Pentax cameras are made in Philipines including coming Pentax K-1.

So crop mode would be no different than taking the photo in FF mode and cropping the image?
Seems redundant?
It might also give faster fps and store more images in the buffer compared to using the FF mode.

Asahiman is a man from the planet Asahi, where they all use digital Pentax FF cameras.

With the k-3(II) it was also merely one day. Most of it will just be theoretical stuff. The real training is when we will get our hands on the camera and get to test and play with it. Normally 2 or 3 weeks before the release.

I'd like to add that I have no clue about the people in the tech centers who actually fix the camera's. Since this is all outsourced to external companies.

Yeah, he's like The Stig from Top Gear. Skilled, but strange and unknowable.

Better than his previous sponsorship, when we knew him as Millerman. ☺
