The FF teaser site has been updated, talking about the 150-450 on the FF (with great wildlife shots... ), more precisely:

QuoteQuote:
Since PENTAX’s 35mm full-frame digital SLR camera provides a shake reduction mechanism far more advanced than any previous mechanism, it assures blur-free photography, even when a super-telephoto lens such as this one is mounted on.
Far more advanced, they said?

Yay! And here (on PF) we've been discussing for years if there's enough room for FF SR with the K-mount at all

Actually, to be competitive, everyone has to play their strengths (while minimising their weaknesses) and Pentax's strength vs Canikon is their shaky-shaky sensor - not just used for SR, but also for pixel-shift, astrotracer and AA simulator - so further advances in any or all of these are the right way to go - maybe even another function?

The second cow image is not really a keeper if you ask me. I get the impression the viewfinder will have very low coverage with those cow parts around the frame. Probably it is due to the photographer and not the camera.

almost wilfully bad photography - but there is a Flickr group - 'Bits of Cow Shots' - maybe it's done with that in mind?

The shots in that group are on another level (but anything looks good when you have stared at the samples too long). I wonder what the Rico marketing team has in mind...

the new HD (DC?) version
HD, yes, but please not DC - there are still too many film cameras and older digital bodies out there that need the screw drive.

Now if they want to make a completely new, dedicated D-FA prime lens series with the same optical formula but with WR, DC, no aperture ring, etc. etc., that's all well and good - but it won't really be an FA Limited any more.

This part ”including the Focus Preset mode, which instantly shifts the focal point to a pre-registered position” sounds interesting. Especially if it works in video mode (and why should it not). It would be cool if one could shift between several pre-stored positions with the new dial on top of the camera.

I must admit that using a 150-450mm to shoot cows is a very weird marketing idea... I have nothing against cows but I can't help thinking that the bears of the Nikon D5 promotion video are more 'sexy' subjects for a telephoto lens...
