The internal draft would be in Japanese, would it not? I would expect the marketing division for the English-speaking world to have tidied the phraseology up by the time it got to that stage. It doesn't even read like the English manuals for Pentax cameras did back in the K-1000 era. This sort of "Engrish" feels more like the original language was Chinese.

Who knows ... it may be genuine despite the broken English. Consider that this slide may be presented world wide from a well known location outside of Japan. English would be the most likely used language.

Some of the ideas presented here are really good, like using SR to increase resolution by shifting the sensor. If they are true then I have to take my hat off to Ricoh. I think that's pretty innovative. Can you imagine getting more resolution from our little APS sensors by shifting the sensor to capture a FF image circle?

Time will tell us.

"World's fist"? Surely this means that Ricoh expects that the world will flock to the new FF camera and punch Canon, Nikon, and Sony with a collective fist...the world's fist?

It's currently called "pixel shift", and is featured on none other than our humble K3-II. Any attempt to shift the sensor and pixel-stitch to create a larger image is going to fall foul of the upper limit set by the full-frame lens image circle. Whether that can somehow be solved by putting medium-format lenses on the K-mount via an adapter of some sort is a question I can't answer, but AFAIK it would need a completely new set of lens designs to really take advantage of such an "inverse crop" feature. And that means the rebadged Tammy 24-75 is practically obsolete before it gets out the door.

Pentax vs SoCaNikon cage match - four makers enter, one maker leaves.

1. Super FF size is doable with SR and will be unique feature;
2. New 645 to K mount adapter is interesting, maybe this one will have AF.

Pentax FF will have pretty unique features for sure.
What is lacking now are lenses, fast prime lenses.
I hope Sigma will start making K mount fast lenses for their ART series.

But this is a good start.

645 lenses are in inventory at Zero current cost, which makes the adapter a credible idea. Heck, those lenses make an $8,000 MF digital camera a credible idea.

Everything else is dubious.

As Adynaton pointed out on PhotoRumors, the graphic in the 3-layer SR composition block is from a description of the Foveon sensor on the Sigma DP1x site. So, fake, or else Ricoh stole a graphic for something that is not their technology to show how their technology works.
