Apparently, Betty has also reprogrammed the exposure compensation button to work as a shutter button. Or maybe she's figured out rear focus AND shutter release???: (note shutter sound at 0:06 mark)

I'm thinking it's a DA-L 18-55 WR - the DA-L WR has a silver ring, and the white markings are in the right place. It's defintely a K-30 - note the black shutter button - with the Pentax logo covered (doesn't Fox know it's the RICOH logo you tape over???)

She is one of the "Golden Girls" bunch AFAIK
and man it is about time for Ricoh/Pentax to do some Product Placement in big TV-Series...

...and the K-30 was/is really a striking piece of design. though they should have been more cautious because of the peaks on the body (that really look great) the prime rubs off more soon than it would if they would have designed it just a bit "softer". But the K-S2 would also be a cool eyecatcher for product-placement...

Most actors have no idea how to hold and shoot a camera.
Most DSLR owners, e.g. the multiple Nikon D600 abusers I saw on a holiday trip, have no idea how to hold and shoot a camera. The pride seems to be about the neck strap, not the pictures.

I just about have an aneurysm when I see scenes that involve photography, because the actors always get it wrong...I suppose paparazzi aren't the best examples to learn from.
Be sure this is not limited to photography. Movies are stories, not reality !

I remember US movie picturing how dangerous it is to travel and live in europe... Not like the statistics show exactly the contrary. I work in computer science and 99% of things related to computer are completely shitty like the guy that find the password at the first try or people hacking computers that they don't have physical or network access to. They tically reconstruct a very detailled crop from a noisy low resolution movie. Bank transfer is also taking time with a progress bar. Not like the bank will not take 2 or 3 days of delay as it does in all the transaction you and me are doing. In reality your cell phone doesn't get any network inside some building but if Jack Bower want to go inside, he has an up to date 3D plan available with realtime position of all people inside it... And of course... terrorist are constantly stealing and using nuclear weapon ALL the time. Like it is easier to steal than a scooter. I wonder how it is possible than no nuclear bomb at hand of any terrorist organization ever exploded until know...

On the contrary of course, the most critical thing to control at airports are... water bottles and the smallest metal knife is a big threat. Not like you couldn't just get the knife provided by the company in business cabin !

When you understand that in the news and media everybody say bullshit most of the time on your area of expertise, you understand they likely do the same in area you are not an expert too.

It really would be interesting to know which lens she's using. The hood looks modern, and not like a macro lens hood at all, which is a shame - because it's what she ought to be using. Still, we'll take our Pentaxes where we can get them (and I do use a Pentax for my forensic work, for the record - K-5 with DA 35/2.8 Macro).
I use the DA.35 Macro with my K-5 also, but I love it just as much with my K-S2 and my K-01. It's just a grand lens, eh What? I also happen to have the Pentax 100mm Macro, but more often run around with the "35"... RJM

Don't you get it.. Betty WHITE... WHITE camera. Betty WHITE's WHITE camera.
I have another question though. On the sample picture Betty is in white and uses white camera. Could Betty have a set of different coloured Pentax cameras that match her whole outfit collection?

I had a look at the Wikipedia entry. Right on the money: "White was one of the first women to have control both in front of and behind the camera."
