WOW...total sexy-time.
It looks like they pulled out ALL the stops here.
With a grip...it will be a MONSTER!
WOW.

I honestly don't remember much about what the various dials were for. It was just a quick stop at the booth and a quick look. I also thought the back screen looked "odd" the way it articulated. I suspect the production model won't be like that. It seemed almost like a scissor jack type thing on the back. Apparently it wasn't a working model, just a mock up. They has something over the "ID" of it. I tried to see what it said, but couldn't see. I'll try to see if I can get any better info out of them tomorrow and sneak some better shots of it for you guys.
Hmm. That back screen looks almost like it is removable and held in place on the mockup by some wires or something. That would be cool. Instead of a screen, a monitor. A two hand plus eye or face stabilized where you can position the monitor to see the scene in live view or movie mode? I get the immersion something different will be presented, different from other market offerings.

Two mode buttons and three dials. Is there a button on the top of the dial to the right of the top LCD?

Isn't the Ricoh GR extensively customizable? I wonder if some of that will show up here.

Edit. Now I see how they did the articulating screen.

CH/CL?

I think that knob at the top, on the right, is going to be used to scroll through the upper LCD - which appears to be a bit tiny compared to other models.
That where I would put my money.

On the top dial they have: Bracket, HDR, Crop, SR (shake reduction), but no PS (Pixel Shift). If this new camera has PS, it would have made sense to put it on this dial. Maybe this new full frame will not have PS???

It changes between Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Box Brownie modes.... Oh, I forgot, there is a "Pentax" mode, too.........

I hope the rubber texture on the right grip of the production model is not smooth like this one appears.

What was I thinking when I thought this would be pretty close to a K-3 in size?.. No this looks MASSIVE.. like a small step down from a 645Z.

I'll wait to fully have an opinion on the dials.. but initial thought is not favorable for giving up top LCD space for an extra wheel/dial. It looks like Ricoh is making this a hands-on camera body. Almost reminds me of a Df and a K-3 blended together with 645Z elements.

Clearly there is no on-board flash, retains the GPS, and thus likely (I'm assuming) also contains the astrotracer.

In any case it is nice to see actual news in the news and rumors forum for a change!

Nice to see the FF gradually getting more real.

Flippy screen looks weird and a bit flimsy, much like the Nikon D750 flippy screen. 645Z flippy screen has more limited range of movement, but seems more robust.

Overall the body looks like a kind of modestly enlarged K-3 II. Not a bad thing.

Interesting approach to the rear LCD.
The mechanism suggests that it has a limited degree of rotation.

Beautiful camera, looks like a mini P67

Ha ha ha! The unmarked knob/button on top is a selfie button. The name of the camera will be K-SFF affectionately called Kiss-oFF

Very clever,IMHO. The top LCD must display the corresponding value for what the function dial is set to. The unmarked dial likely allows quick scrolling through the allowable settings for the particular function. Think of it as an ever-active partial replacement of the INFO button.
