Movies

The movies are part of the large knob... The lower part has a separate knob section with a lever..... It looks to select camera or movie mode with a quick slip of that knob.

The top of that knob has SR / HDR / Wi-FI / BAT / Grid / Bracket / Crop CH/CL / EV +/-. Maybe the unmarked knob allows a quick selection of those options via the LCD when a selection is made on the tall knob.... A very quick menu access via that set of knobs and the upper LCD

very good news! maybe there is a chance they will release it sooner then the official announcement :-)
it sure looks like nice and i think i will be one of the early adopters.. love the tilt screen and the wifi and SR capabilities are a nice addition!
Think the iso capabilities will be slightly better then the D810.. :-)

It strikes me that that screen might be touch sensitive. A swing out screen would be difficult to use, but that one is well supported from behind to take some pressure.

It's interesting that a patent has just surfaced for using a touch screen to define a region of the image to selectively apply these low pass simulator effect to. A bit esoteric, but it does indicate that Ricoh had been working on interfaces for touch screens.

This could be a very good camera for tripod use, with the live view implementation, touch screen and multi-shot resolution enhancement.

There's a top lcd, but a smaller one.
Smaller top LCD's seem to be in vogue. The Nikon Df only has a tiny top LCD, and the D750 also has a top LCD that is considerably smaller/narrower than any other regular Nikon DSLR. And then there is the tiny top LCD on the Leica SL.

I reckon as long as it still displays the basics, it's all OK.

Sorry about that guys. I have managed to reupload those images. The top view is a very good quality image that gives us a great look at the new features, apart for that mystery knob.

Wow, looks very promising!

The top rightmost dial isn't the prettiest I've seen, but I think it will be very useful.
Just yesterday I thought how convenient it would be to be able to change aperture, shutter speed, and exposure compensation in TAv mode without pressing any buttons.

Can't wait to learn more about this camera. Very exciting times.

N.B., thanks to everyone who posted images, in particular to Rico for the shot from the top. I agree with those that speculate that the top selection dial on the right hand side influences the function of the top rightmost dial.

So what is the big nameless button on top? A touchpad? an IR blaster? @ddamski I don't think this is very Pentax either

That right-hand dial with "grid" on it makes me wonder whether it might not be for switching overlays in the VF? Hence perhaps the smaller top-plate LCD which wouldn't be so important if much of the same info is in the VF. The "new" dial on the back right might be for controlling whatever mode the internal VF overlay is switched to.

So maybe a joystick touch button? There is a light button as well (for lighting up in bright conditions?).

I have the D810 and the Df. The D810 is an amazing camera, but I like the Df better: it's the only Nikon with "soul" (no Canon or Sony has a soul, in my opinion). I really like the look of the Pentax, and will be an early adopter - dials are so much better than menu diving. Perhaps then I can just run one system (though I can't really see me giving up the Df and the manual focus lenses I have).
