Going back to the main content of this thread : what a great "Pro" looking camera this is.
With that reversed lens hood, it looks more like a poser camera to me!

Probably another 'mistaken' display of the camera that will only last for one day.
The last display was quickly made up from cardboard and gaffer tape. This one looks far more "official".
It seems Ricoh intended this to be the first showing, but some US marketeer had a different idea...

Maybe the hood doesn't fit inside the acrylic cylinder protecting the camera when it is mounted forward?

Well, they should have used a full-frame cylinder!
But maybe that won't be available until the spring of 2016.

The lens shade cannot be mounted forwards in the space allowed by the glass and they didn't want to take the chance to loose the hood, should they store it separately from the lens .

It seems to be, based on a very crude analysis I performed using a quick scan of Facebook likes as a measure of national Pentax popularity around the world:

Ricoh Imaging US: 83000 likes
Ricoh Imaging FR: 21200 likes
Ricoh Imaging UK: 14100 likes
Ricoh Imaging Spain and Portugal: 8100 likes
Pentax Philippines: 7862
Ricoh Imaging Deutschland Österreich Schweiz: 5700
Pentax Australia: 3810 likes
what is this facebook people are talking about?
It took them a couple years to show one camera, how long will it take to produce many cameras, so we can buy one

I knew a Québecois whose surname was "Couillard". He said it translated into English as "handsome testicles". I never found out whether he was kidding or not. Maybe it is a colloquial meaning in Québec.

It's a siege weapon. Some sort of trebuchet. Don't know how that relates to handsome testicles.
