wow look at that screen swivel!
Yes. The first few pictures showing the screen's support were confusing to me, but now I understand. They get the flexibility of an articulated screen but do it in a much smaller area.

Is there an LCD screen on that top dial?
It does seem to be semi transparent.....

Definitely, and we 'll have to wait a couple of month more before knowing the specifications...

Zygonyx's photos of the booth make the camera look quite small. I am surprised.

Yes but I think that, in this case, the French text, as well that in the newsletter, was translated from English and the original (English) word was 'specimen'.

The translator was most certainly a French Canadian since he/she wrote in French "la toute nouvelle HD PENTAX-D FA 24-70mm F2.8ED SDM WR" instead of "le tout nouveau", thus making an implicit reference to the Canadian French 'lentille', which is a feminine noun and the French Canadian translation of 'lens', instead of the French 'objectif', which is masculine.

Indeed and I guess France is Pentax's biggest market in Europe. At least it was like that a few years ago...
I'm thinking it still is. I have the strange feeling of seeing other photogs shooting with Pentax here quite often. In the US, I think I have never, ever seen one!

Excellent linguistic analysis! Reverse translating is always fun...

Thank you. The interesting bit is that the master text being written in English reveals that it most certainly had to be approved by Japanese management before being published. Control over Ricoh Imaging subsidiaries' communication is tight...

It doesn't look that big for a full frame. It looks just a little than the k-3/II. The articulating screen looks awesome but I think it has a bigger hump. All in all it looks like a handsome beast.

It seems to be, based on a very crude analysis I performed using a quick scan of Facebook likes as a measure of national Pentax popularity around the world:

Ricoh Imaging US: 83000 likes
Ricoh Imaging FR: 21200 likes
Ricoh Imaging UK: 14100 likes
Ricoh Imaging Spain and Portugal: 8100 likes
Pentax Philippines: 7862
Ricoh Imaging Deutschland Österreich Schweiz: 5700
Pentax Australia: 3810 likes

This one misses the rubber eye-piece as well, or is it in fact the very same camera we accidently saw earlier?
Maybe it is the old Highlander story, “There can be only one. ” we are seeing here.

Thanks for posting these! I'm a bit surprised by the particles/dust on the lens...granted, the rubber isn't the easiest thing to clean but this type of display demands showroom-quality product detailing.
