Speaking of which, what was the smallest SLR of any kind? The ME? The MX? Or was it one of the Olympus OM's?

well, looks like they can't hold off calling it K-1 now
Regardless of what they call this one, they need to start some new kind of series real soon now. As you count down, there is only so far you can go ... unless you go into negative territory with the K--1.

This one misses the rubber eye-piece as well, or is it in fact the very same camera we accidently saw earlier?
Maybe it is the old Highlander story, “There can be only one. ” we are seeing here.
It seems that the rubber eye-piece is already on the teaser website of the full frame.

Maybe the hood doesn't fit inside the acrylic cylinder protecting the camera when it is mounted forward?

Here are some images from the NY PhotoPlus show of the rear LCD:
I trust they have put some effort into making sure that the cable running out of the body is WR.

The attachment point does seem to be substantial, so maybe the LCD cable doesn't flow straight through from the display into the body, which might compromise WR, but terminates to a fixed connector mounted on the rear panel. Then a ribbon cable within the body plugs into the other side of that.

Maybe the K-3 replacement with wifi and art. screen will be called K-T1 and they'll start a new series allowing this FF series to go K-1ii, K-2, K-2ii, K-3, K-3ei (ei = eye implant in 2023).

They could easily solve the naming issues by keeping up with the double alpha convention and have Full Frame: KF-1,2,3

I like that.

More sensible than, for example, Nikon's scheme where D90/D7200 is APS-C but D4/D800 is FF. No logic. Or Sony, where A580/A77 is APS-C but A850/A99 is FF.

"It's too big, too small, too many dials, not enough dials, too heavy, too many pixels, not enough pixels, too slow frame rate, it isn't a Sony (I know, that one should have come first )."
Don't forget complaints about the name, whatever it will be.

Not so clear. You have no evidence that this is the case.

I was about to post that idea... KF-1 (or 9) works for me.

I'm slowly becoming more interested in the FF, after swearing that I'd never touch one... but the weight and size might put me off when I compare it with my old ME and MXs. However, it will do much more, and of course the absence of popup flash won't be an issue, when compared with pre-digital Pentax FFs of old, none of which had one.
