Not so much that - I can handle any normal or wide prime - but some tele zooms (e.g. the SMC-M 80-200/4.5) are a different matter. The balance point shifts too far forward and things get awkward. The FA 135 is actually OK because the hand fits naturally under the stationary part of the barrel and the fingers to the focusing ring, but one-touch zooms sometimes have nowhere to rest the hand that doesn't risk jostling either focus or zoom when holding for a prolonged period.
