Simple idea from Russian forum.

K-1 is a project like 645. It could be K-1 as first camera, then - new camera - something like K-1х, K-1z, K-1m, K-1r and e.t.c...Till the letters end.
K-1 already means FF.

Like Canon does - EOS-1Ds Mark III, Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, Canon EOS-1D X and е.t.c.

K-2 "normal" FF the K-2 II etc
K-3 série as high end APS
K-S for consumer...

Don't jump to fast. With the K-1 at cp+, some lenses for full frame and a follower to the K-3ii at Photokina I think Ricoh has it's hands full for 2016.
