Sgt. Schultz says FA*85 and FA*24/2 might indicate/hint by association these lenses are planned for updates in 2016.

Alternative interpretation: "hold on to those old lenses, because you won't see replacements any time soon!"

The point being, it's not Ricoh Imaging.
None of those sellers would add "HD,SDM,WR". The only thing they're doing is trying to sell second hand items, for as much as they think they can get.

If you want to guess how much a new D FA(*) Pentax 85mm f/1.4 would cost, take a look at the Nikkor 85mm f/1.4.

Indeed, but the comparision point will be the discountinued FA*85 and the price of second hand.

Grab that and add HD (or aerobright) coating, SDM/DC motor, and WR, check the price tag, and let the discussion begins

Yes, i know it wont be cheap lens, im waiting a DFA200mm macro, but comparision will be made as same as Nikon D, G and the other letter that i dont remember right know series of the same focal length and aperture, above if the price diference worth the cost.

This is great news. It's simply says all you guys who bought have a camera that can maximize its quality. I would really like to see some shots using APS-C crop lenses.

I love the way they designed the grip. The camera looks like semi retro.

The use of FA★ 24mm f/2 and FA★ 85mm f/1.4 for the first image samples of the Pentax K-1 might also be seen as an homage to Jun Hirakawa, the brilliant optical engineer who conceived them (as well as DA 10-17mm Fish-Eye, DA 14mm f2.8, FA 28mm f/2.8, FA 35mm f/2, DA 40mm f/2.8 Limited, FA 43mm f/1.9 Limited, DA★ 55mm f/1.4, FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited and FA★ 80-200mm f/2/.8 ).

Indeed, since Hirakawa-san, made redundant by Hoya, more exactly pensioned off (at 48!...), was then hired by Tamron for which he designed the SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD and since this very Tamron has been "recycled" by Ricoh Imaging for their HD Pentax-D FA 24-70mm f/2.8 ED SDM WR, one can imagine there have been more than contacts between Hirakawa-san and Ricoh Imaging.

I'm hoping that Pentax is just waiting to get Hirakawa back, and that the man's still interested in going back.

Anyway it's exciting to see Pentax is still trying to keep up in the news arena. Nikon's D5 has just come out of the rumor box and into the same almost-there situation as the Pentax FF.
