The expectations for this camera have gone so nuts.
It started off as " I just want a camera that will use my FA glass the way it was designed to be used."
Now people want everything everyone else has plus a few Pentax innovations.
But the really funny thing is, people can go on here for years (and have).. but Pentax will do what Pentax does, as if they didn't exist. There won't be one feature that is added where Pentax says "We added cross phase interpolated squirrel detection because the users on the Pentax forum asked for it." Even though god knows, the ability to take images of squirrels is really important to the Pentax user base. Now do you suppose Pentax should tell their real, professional camera designers do the job, or have them spend time reading the forum figuring out what to do? Cause if they come here, there is going to be squirrel detection options. What do you think is best?
Pentax Claus, it was too hard to focus this image, I need software that sees a squirrel and then follows it everywhere in the frame, please put it on the new K-1 or I'll have a hissy fit.
The only thing keeping me from buying a D810 all these years, has been Nikon hasn't devoted enough of its resources to squirrel detection Please don't let me down and ruin my life by not implementing this feature. I'm, so pathetic I'll cry and hold my breath if you don't. I'll even make videos of me crying about your crappy Pentax and post them on the internet so people will see how insensitive you are.
You (Pentax) really need to understand how serious I am, and that all other Pentax users think like I do. We are united in our desire to take more and better squirrel pictures.
Note, the little guy moved his paws and they are soft, we need a segmented sensor that can shift just one segment with subject movement while holding the rest of the sensor still. Thanks in advance... Otis.
