Anybody know what the RRS referred to in the readme for v5.4.2 is?

- Added ON/OFF setting for RAW development of RRS (Real Resolution System).

PDCU is a version of SilkyPix that Pentax issues with their cameras. It allows the development of RAW photos on your computer and allows the application of the same jpeg settings that are available in-camera to your RAW files. It also has Pentax lens profiles built in and for K3 II owners, the ability to process pixel shifted RAW images.

Nowadays, the software is called Digital Camera Utility, or Ricoh Digital Camera Utility. In the old times, the software was called Pentax Digital Camera Utility of PDCU.

PDCU has been supplied with the K-7, K-5, K-3 and K-3ii.

does the PENTAX Digital Camera Utility 5.4.2 work with the K5 too?

O.k. it is only an update and it will not recognize the Original Software from the K5. Where can I get the Basic/Original Digital Camera Utility to get this Update working?

Well I installed the update - ugh! Crashes every time I try to open a PEF file from the 645Z. Annoying to say the least. Will uninstall and wait

Yeah, but I don't think DxO can handle pixel shift images. And I think you need the utlity to do stuff like separate out the images from an in-camera HDR. A truly fugly piece of software for such nice cameras.

Thanks! Cool workaround. Worked great with a "S-SW140"-named SD Card. The Updater seems only to need a correct named volume.
