If you forget about the battery grip duplication of elements for a battery grip which you can not get rid off ever and which makes the camera a real PITA all by itself:
One single index finger wheel like any lower level amateur camera (not Pentax though) plus a small joystick and a poorly positioned large wheel which is completely inaccessible when you hold the camera firmly with your right hand.
Try holding the Canon with a large tele lens in one hand and then adjust two parameters using both wheels. I can tell you, you will have parts of the lens all over the floor soon.
Plus the "joy" of the lonely index finger wheel being position in a way that you can only turn it with the
side of you index finger due to it being so poorly placed as well.
As much as I love Canon's lenses, their body design is two leagues lower than Pentax's. Call it shame or PITA, whatever, but never ever again compare that crap to the wonderful design the Pentax guys came up.
I'd much rather replace the worthless video switch in the K-3 with an additional optionally used joystick.
"optional" because while the joystick is nice for fast movement, it is less precise and in many configurations a clear button press option is better..
