I think the fa ltds will stay but with new HD coat and a motor drive.

Not necessarily with a motor drive. The recently revamped HD DA 55-300mm, HD DA Limiteds and HD DFA 645 35 mm f/3.5 don't have one.

A motor drive would require a big overhaul and a less compact lens. Maybe pentax should try to make the screwdrive and internal lens gearing more silent.

need a ff 28mm, 14mm, 8mm, and a 200mm macro... or something like canon's 4:1 macro.

Wanted by whom exactly? we have the 77 in lieu of the 85, 43 in lieu of the 50 and 31 in lieu of the 35. Higher up the priority list would be a DFA Limited prime in the 20-25 range I think, and not a f/1.4 but something more realistic of f/2.4 or f/2.8.
Well in general those are the most common primes, it will be nice if we can get new "versions" of this lenses with HD coating, etc.. of course the actual Limiteds work great.. but with some tweaks it could put them in another level, but as you said a DFA Limited between 20 and 25 will be really nice too.

Wide angle lenses are much needed to full frame.
14. 18. 20. 24. 28. mm. Then 2 famous range zoom lenses 24-70 and 70-200 mm. Pentax already has the zoom lenses so prime wide angle lenses are the forward step i hope that.

I really hope so. I have a Pentax-A 24 mm f2.8 with which I can make do. It was my favourite lens back in my film days, but a new incarnation would be lovely.

I do think that Pentax should have 2 lines of lenses. The first should be the DFA lne that has the HD coating, is screw drive, has WR seals (which hopefully should help keep the noise down), quick shift, and have apertures between F1.8 and F2.8. Pentax DFA* lenses should be no holds barred lenses that should be faster focusing (DC ring motor) with quick shift and focus limiter switch, AW, and have apertures between F1.2 and F2.8. This way you can choose between the best possible performance or excellent performance and a more compact lens size.

I hope you're right.

What about superteles? The could be star lenses and would have apertures F4 to F5.6.

Of course the super-telephoto DFA* lenses (300 mm and larger would have max apertures of F4 or F5.6 with all the previous mentioned features. Those large aperture lenses I was talking about were from the 20 mm to 135 mm range with a 150 mm to 200 mm macro lens.

If people think that the new DFA 70-200 mm is heavy, wait till they get a load of the 400mm F2.8!

Maybe people who complain about slow lenses should take a look at the Sigma 200-500/2.8

You have to be able to "lift things up and put them down" in order to use that one!
