smc Pentax-FA 24-90mm f/3.5-4.5 [IF] AL is 15 years old (launched in 2001). That's a lot, in particular for a zoom lens.
It still has got 2 aspherical lenses, not so bad.
Reviews usually give it btw 8 and 9,4 /10 mark on FF :
- very good color rendition
- excellent flare resistance
- fast AF
- little CA
- decent bokeh
- soft in the corners, especially in the long end
The main advantage being the very light weight. Proposed as a kit zoom with Pentax MZ-S, which was the last "PROsumer" FF from Pentax.

Completely agree ! IMHO for pros the FF+50mm and FF+24-70 are the two kits that make sense...

The D750 is $1996.95 in the US. So that is what Ricoh is after - offering something at the around same price but with more "pro" features to justify the extra couple hundred dollars...
That seems like the most reasonable explanation to me. Thinking about it that way, $2200 body only is actually fairly reasonable.

Both current DA 50 et DA*55 are FF compatible and the 43Ltd will be refreshed so a new 50 is not a top priority.

Since I won't have money for an FF this year anyway, I think I'm going to start saving for the inevitable silver version with a silver 43 Ltd. Back to the seventies :-)

Ricoh has got to somehow have a press release telling customers what aps-c lenses work on FF... unless they're planning to re-release all those lenses, like the DA* 55, DA* 300 f4, etc, as D-FA lenses...

It would be great if they offered FF-suitable lens hoods for the FF-compatible DA lenses.

Not sure how reliable is this. But this is a price point I been saying all along and what I think it should be, to be competitive.

Source: Pentax K-1 full frame DSLR camera: price and kit lens info | Pentax Rumors
Price and kit lens information has been leaked for the upcoming Pentax K-1 full frame DSLR camera.

According to latest rumors, long-waited Pentax K-1 full frame DSLR camera body only price will be €1,999 and it will be available as kit with the 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens.

US prices are usually lower so the K-mount Pentax full frame DSLR camera is expected to have a price tag around $2,200. More details after the break!
It says the body price will be 1999,- Euro. A kit price is not mentioned and in the comments he says he doesn't know. Euro price is including taxes. Dollar price will probably around $1850

I am looking for the list of FF comptatible lens that I saw somewhere on the forum...If someone can point me to the thread that would be nice
There is this article:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/54-pentax-lens-articles/31629-da-lenses-f...ts-thread.html

and there is another just listing the lenses that are currently on sale from Pentax and other brands:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/10-pentax-slr-lens-discussion/183420-curr...me-lenses.html

I hope PentaxForums is able to organise this information a bit better once the FF is released. There will soon be massive hordes of people asking the same question.

Yeah, would be great if those DA lenses on full frame and Third party FF lenses for Pentax threads would get an update. There could also be a thread with "Recently discontinued", so people know which FF lenses they can find used but not new.

Look at where the lines begin and end for it. It is clearly a 28-105mm lens they are indicating on the roadmap currently
Maybe we are not looking at the same roadmaps? This one has some vague and fading lines that span from between 20 and 30m to between 100 and 200mm. There is no mention of aperture being fixed or otherwise. http://www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/japan/products/lens/images/K_Mount_Lens.pdf

There is a problem with the roadmap. The bar grows when viewed in firefox.

Going even further off topic now but I'm fascinated by that browser behavior. I've had a lot of frustration with the Chrome PDF plugin. Something to consider when providing PDF to someone for review. They may not be seeing what you expect them to see.

The worst part is that if I download the PDF and view it using desktop Acrobat for Windows my view matches the Chrome plugin with the shorter bars. Even though my Firefox is using Acrobat as the internal viewer. Horribly inconsistent.

But it does make plausible deniability easier for Ricoh!
