Pixelshift obviously but that was expected
yuh - there's stuff there that if they hadn't trialled it on the K3ii might be exciting, but I don't see anything more than slow incremental improvements in areas where they were lagging - except the 5-axis 5-stop bit, but that was also incremental for Pentax. I'm still sure there's a rabbit or two lurking in the hat, and the camera looks good and if it works very well within its specs it will be more than satisfying - but little on that list to win people over - still, kenspo says unique features, so lets keep optimistic

I wondered about that, too. I guessed but someone said no. . This reads like the spec's of a $2,200 camera, so good. They'll sell a lot of them.

It looks great for a 2K camera. I mean some people are still paying 3K for a lot less.

Anyway, the specs are good. I don't understand USB2.0 only.

I am curious now about how Pentax will pitch the K-1 to the camera media, and position it in the marketplace. The hard part is that there is little in these specs that's different or better than, for example, the D810.

I guess the differentiating factors salesmen will be able to highlight will be in-body SR, pixel-shift, GPS, and K-mount. Same sales story as the K-3II, basically, except with a larger high MP sensor and the promise of better high-ISO performance.

I don't think those are the specs. There are things in there we know seemingly tacked onto D810 specs.

The feeling that it's camera of last year. Really. Nothing bad, but the specs are bit old.

K-3 has 25 cross type focus points. By the way. And USB3.0.
IF this is accurate, I recall asahi man suggesting FF was pushed back a year by the unexpected success of 645Z. Still, looks like a very nice camera at this price. 28~105 makes sense.

Easy 2K instead of 3K they learned a lot with the 645Z.

Basicly this is a D800E with SR and only 4 years later. No issue, since that makes still a great camera.

Why not the D810?
