its on board for sure. no rumor anymore, since they stated the astro thing on the teaser website

Don't care about USB 2.0 (only use card in Macbook), but I am pretty pretty sure this is a typo of the leaker
Oh yeah forgot about the mention on teaser site.
I don't also care about USB2 - I always transfer my photos via card reader.

The next milestone that would totally change the usability of Pixel Shift Resolution would be the possibility to use it for moving objects, something Olympus said they are working on. Who will be the first to implement this feature?

I am way too excited how it fells in my hands.
Never liked the entry DSLR from CaNikon, they feel like cheap plastic wonderland - even my K-x felt very durable and of higher value.
Want this thin my hand!!!!!

When they really get to manage this camera for 2grand with tax included (EU, GER), this camera is ablutely spectacular...

Maybe this sensor doesn't have a Bayer color array?
Maybe it has a hybrid OVF or some type of LCD projection?

There have been a whole lot of cool patents come out of Ricoh over the last few years and none of it appears to have made it into the camera.

Complaints every where I go to the forum and the other one of dpr. For a camera not released yet.
We have to thank RICOH which creates the long long awaiting dslr ff Pentax. Ricoh give k mount fans 5 new ff lenses:24-70.15-30.70-200 28-105.150-450
all these goodies even the camera is not announced yet.
Is there any company did what Ricoh has done. ?!
Qudus to Ricoh !

the viewfinder isn't particularly bright, and kenspo keeps saying the future is bright - so maybe the camera has a built in torch?

The VF will be at least as bright as any other FF. Just wait.

I'm gonna guess that the usability will be a major advantage. The way a pentax feels and works has always been a major consideration in their design. Why am I getting butterflies over this thing I can't afford on launch day!

Actual camera or model type? i.e. the casing and basic architecture could easily last 4 years but with some updates along the line i.e. K-1 II, K-1 III - my IT side of my mind would find it difficult to be restricted to USB 2.0 for 4 years when USB 3.0 and 3.1 are available eve now. Memory card technology is improving year on year and I'd daresay that the processing and memory architecture could get a useful refresh within 2 years.
Yes, we will see. I suspect the timeline could be shorter than 4 years.. much shorter. Closer to Sony timeline..

Anyway, I'm still trying to work out if my wife will notice a slightly bigger and heavier K3.
I've gotten one step ahead of you so I have her blessing to buy it, with her mumbling $1500 down the drain...

I've said "it does not cost quite that much" each time but somehow she never gets the other part of the sentance "... It costs a lot more".
