Looks like it might be a good close focus lens if I'm reading the translated spec sheet right "Recent shooting distance (object distance image) 18cm" basically 7 inches.

The Venus Laowa 15mm F4.0 1:1 Macro+Shift is the the close focus lens you're looking for... just 4.7mm from the front element at 1:1 magnification

Among the posted images, those that have some detail in the corners, such as the interior of the theater, appear to maintain decent IQ to the edges and into the corners.

It is really encouraging to see more independent lens makers introducing optics beyond what camera manufacturers offer, with acceptable to very good IQ and at a reasonable price.

That coma is a giant disappointment. I was hoping this could be a delicious new UW astrophotography lens. Then again, I've recently started to think the Rokinon 14mm is too wide. And there's a big difference between 12 and 14mm.

Amount of vignetting not so impressive.
No worse than the Samyung or Rokinon 12mm lenses. Usually alleviated somewhat by stopping down. What f-stop was the sample photo taken at? Easily corrected in PP given the amount of corner detail. Show me a rectilinear UWA that has no vignetting on full frame.

Just a thought i had as i've read several comments like this before, but at what distance from the center does the coma get bad? could it be cropping the 12mm shot to 14mm may eliminate most coma issues, I really don't know but its an idea. also its clearly noted that the coma does reduce as the lens is stopped down, yes not ideal if you're looking for shorter exposure times.

The nice thing is and i know this doesn't matter so much for Pentaxians but its Vignetting is 1 stop lower than the Canon 11-24mm F4.0's vignetting at the same apertures
