Yep, but REALLY all weather...not like "feel like a cheap toy" canikons (yeap, even the D810). Theres a video in FStoppers where they try to make the "afghanian test" in a canon and they completly fail.

Some people want the option of being able to take photos while facing an explosion.

No-one but Ricoh engineers can really answer that. Someone should ask them at CP+.

It seems dumb to me. They had it in K-3, everything was working fine.

Prepare USB3.0 and some new features for K-1II in 1,5 year.

Honestly - I used USB with my Pentax cameras several times from 2005. It seems to me 3-4 times.

maybe they think wireless tethering is the go, and beyond that who uses the usb port?

however I agree, if a usb port is included it should be usb3.

Yes, i think they hesitated to just throw it away like Apple, but they only downscaled it this time.

Thanks! Now I can actually start using the theory and do some silky water shots myself with my near-antique K-5!
Try it with the exact same subject. You will probably find that the traditional long exposure look is superior to stacking. Of course this just my opinion. I did this with a GR for a few waterfalls and, hands down, I prefered the looks of the long exposure. I wish I had kept both so I could show a comparison. Maybe someone else has done this with good results and can post samples and explain their technique.
