Btw why can't we have longer exposure like 30min while medium format can expose up to 60min?

Glad to see earlier FA lenses with Power zoom will be supported. Have my old 28-70 FA* and 80-200 FA* that I plan on using with the FF body!
They may not be quite up to modern lens design standards but they work well on the K3 and they should perform similarly on the FF.

Generally, I am pleased with the specifications :-)

In practice, I would argue there is no difference between 1/180 and 1/200 as far as changing the amount of ambient light getting in during flash photography.

In practice.. perhaps so.. more a mental thing seeing a leading 2 instead of a 1. But, still, any gain is welcome.

I think if these specs are true, they will reflect the price of the camera, which may likely make it affordable. To me that is most important, if I was going to spend more I would go for a 645d or z. I think using the same battery as other cameras shows Pentax cares about current users, and if you need more battery life buy the grip or carry spares! It's not even a debate.

yes, it's pretty much negligible. 1/250 would be preferred, even if it still is a pretty small jump from 1/180.

The big thing I would absolutely love is if the camera will allow the hot shoe to be triggered at any shutter speed regardless if it's within the sync speed or not.

Specs are pretty much what's been rumored before, sync speed is up to 1/200th, but USB2???? How about tethering?
Well, if it actually was USB 2 then it doesn't hint towards tethering. At least not at reasonable speeds.
I'd be interested how fast that wifi module is...

36/2.25 -> more or less 16mp on apsc crop

2.25 comes from 1.5^2

actual crop factor is 1.52 I believe. So 36,4 (are those actual piixels or effective. We don't know)/1.52^2=15.76. I do know on the D810 it is 15.4mp.
Was wondering if I'd see a lot of difference for the crop mode. Since I'm used to a K-5 IIs, I'd not see much difference.
Might be a different story for those used to K-3's for birding. Thanks!

You can. It's called bulb mode.

Yes. It just takes a 5 dollar remote control.

Agreed. I would be happy with 1/200 if they would just allow us to have the flash fire faster than 1/200 with a menu override. Please Pentax, how hard is this?

I'm hoping face detection while using the optical viewfinder will be working in the K-1, like it does in the D800/D810. Haven't seen it in the specs so far, but fingers crossed.

Well, apple devices don't have a built in IR transmitter so you would need something to plug in to use some smart phones.

That would be amazing. If they ever open source the firmware, I would learn it to add this feature!

Seriously, anything less than a full stop or two in sync speed really doesn't matter. :/

Don't say never Bert..... Three years from now the price will be way different on the K 1 and there will be the K 1 "2" and maybe you'll have more money then? ;-)
