No wonder the teaser page was drawing comparison to the LX! Forget about scruffing this one in the Afghan dust and then dousing in the showers; Heie just about ought to be able to take it to the battlefield with him as a melee weapon. Put a thoriated Takumar lens on it and call it combat-ready...

Where you expecting anything else? You can find pretty much the same pictures for K3, K5 and K7 as well.

I gave a would be mugger a clout once with a K20D and Takumar 85/1.9, he didn't get up that quickly.

On closer inspection it probably is metal. Just de pentaprism housing plastic. Look at the sides of the lcd screen lay in:

I still haven't seen anything about face detection working in optical viewfinder AF. Only face detection in LiveView ( ie just like the K-3 and earlier Pentaxes). Has anyone seen any mention of PDAF face detection in the K-1?

That's a D800 feature I've been impatiently looking forward to seeing in the K-1.

Changing the colour of the led body lighting by rubbing it the right way.
