Folks that tether. There are many applications of tethering, and USB3 offers a faster interface.

Yep, but REALLY all weather...not like "feel like a cheap toy" canikons (yeap, even the D810). Theres a video in FStoppers where they try to make the "afghanian test" in a canon and they completly fail.

do you have the link to this test? sounds like hilarious fun... to bridge the time to the final revelation

You mean they duplicated what Heie did to his Pentax and they destroyed the Canon DSLR in the process? Oh God, yes, please, the link!!
I also want to see...

Pentax need to save in some areas to keep aggressive pricing, USB2 may be one of the more obvious simplifications. For me no USB, USB2 or USB3 does not matter.

Agreed. I thought the utility of wired tethering, and the speed advantage of USB 3, was well understood. But it seems that Ricoh and many Pentaxians don't quite get it.

For most people on this site tethering doesn't really matter because Pentax has not made this feature a priority. Same can be said about full frame incidentally. It's the "i don't use it so it must not be that important" argument.
However, for many working photographers, tethering is utilized daily, and anything that makes is faster is welcome.

Thanks! It used to be goalies mostly but now our junior program has started to churn out pretty promising dmen and forwards too (R. Ristolainen in Buffalo, S. Vatanen in Anaheim, O. Määttä in Pitsburgh and the yet undrafted P. Laine & J. Puljujärvi).

I used to live in Toronto for a couple years so I got to see a couple NHL games...and I was there to see the World Cup of Hockey semis and final in 2004, in person
I got to see Kuri and Tikkanan play in Edmonton, with the way Kuri played I imaged that your goalies had lots of practice back then

I don't need a DC input terminal, but I do need faster transfer. 60MBps is the max for usb2.

That's a transmissive (polymer network) LCD right there. There's absolutely no other way this can be done.

I guess that's well known for quite a while.

Thats about 1 second per raw image. For thetered shooting in studio that should be sufficient.

For transfering all the images from the card, thats slow, but then again, its possible to do that with a card reader or wifi. Wifi for convenience and card reader for maximum speed.

Will it send RAW files over WiFi? The other systems only send JPEG files.
