Key questions is: Did Pentax already present all lenses they want to introduce with the K1... no 70-200, no primes... let's hope for a full roadmap.
24-70 is out. 15-30 and 70-200 ships with K-1. 150-450 is out. Same with 31, 43, 55, 77, 100, 200 and 300 (all works brilliant with K-1)

More lenses will come, so relax.

The 70-200 was announced a year ago, it's market launch then postponed for modifications. It should be here soon.

There won't be a 135/1.8, or any 135mm lens - with the theorethical exception of a macro lens, because no one is buying them.

The DFA*70-200 has been officially slated for 18th March release, so there's no urgent need for a 135mm prime if the zoom is as good as expected.

A fast wide prime is a higher priority IMHO. Somewhere in the 20-24 range. A camera pitched at astrophotography needs that, unless the 15-30 is truly exceptional.

I have used this lens in a comparative review in F mount on the D810 against the Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G and the Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G - the Tamron 15-30mm gave both nikkor lenses a run for its money, especially regarding field curvature and coma control*. On my optics bench: MTF tests showed that the Tamron and the Nikkors both had their strengths and weaknesses, The Tamron lens had the most consistent resolution curve throughout the zoom range** compared the to two Nikkor lenses, both of which had clearly been designed to give the best IQ at the wide/long ends of their zoom ranges.

* Strangely the two f/2.8 lenses had less distortion than the nikkor 16-35mm f/4
**The nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G was hot on its heels, beating it slightly at the 17~20mm range.

That is very encouraging. What did you make of its flare resistance?

Compared to the DA15 they all sucked.

In all seriousness, the Nikkors with their highly advanced nano crystal coat AR technologies held a distinct advantage over the Tamron lens. I'll admit my flare testing wasn't thorough: there are about 16 types of flare a lens can suffer from, and setting up the lighting that typically provokes them can be difficult, so I just covered the basics. Hopefully Pentax will seek to remedy this by employing their own coating technologies, that would provide a welcome boost to the IQ from the Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8. But all things considered I have seen worse flare tolerance from lenses in this focal length range, compared to the aforementioned lenses I tested: the sigma 12-24mm is a disaster.

As I feared. Despite my desire to rationalise I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to move on my DA15 and DA21.

Even Pentax tells you that the 55 needs to be stopped down on K1. Pentax desperately advertised the K1 with FA* 24 and 85 - found on eBay. 31, 43, 77 are decent lenses even today, but not convincing for a FF camera. Pentax used to be known for compact footprint, great quality prime lenses with useful specs - not too large, not too extreme. Big 2.8 zooms and no new/updated primes are a change in policy. More lenses = new road map at the most.

Probably Pentax will launch the 135mm lens with a new version of FF camera for sports and action.

Given that a K-3 has size, weight and format benefits vs. K-1, keeping K-3 specifically for use with DA Limited lenses seems like a reasonable choice at current resale prices. K-S1 & K-S2 are preference items. That makes 1 - 3 reasons to keep the 15 and 21 n

Rational and photography don't play well together.

I see the K-3 line and K-1 lines working in tandem for a lot of us. K-3 and some of the DA's are a wonderful discrete travelling / photo journalistic setup. I for one would prefer to take the K-3 and a trio of 15, 43 and 77 if I was taking a city break for example over the K-1 and DFA24-70 or DFA28-105 or in prime terms the 31, 55, 100 which would be the nearest equivalent currently available. I have purposely omitted the 21 as it is very much outshone by its wider brother. Some may ask why not just use the K-1 in crop?, if you have a 24Mp why lock yourself to 15Mp? would be my retort.
If doing some landscapes or available light gig work then K-1 I'm very hopeful will be the no need to question option. I have a 25mm Zeiss for the landscapes and 43, 50 f/1.2 and 77 for the gig work with the 50 @f/2.0 probably edging it in my minds eye right now. Should be fun working through these conundrums in the near future.
