Well, I was almost right on the price in Canada. I guess I can blame the crappy exchange rate; it's $2500 CDN.

I had been thinking / saying "$2000 to $2500", so this is a pleasant surprise.
Waiting for all the hands-on reviews next!

With the OP's question answered with a resounding YES, perhaps it is time for this thread to retire honourably?

Go ahead, you know you want to

I am very glad you were correct, I think it will make a big difference in the number sold and therefore the success of Pentax FF.

Did you guess the price correctly? If so, next time guess the price to be 500 dollars.

No no.. actually i was aiming more for a $2200 - $2400 price.. but the other guys were saying that it was almost impossible because the camera was aimed for "pros", and because the price of the lenses that were announced several months ago.. my point was that we could not guess the price judging by the lenses price, and that thsi camera could not eventually be really expensive because Pentax needed to grow as fast as they can their FF market, and Price was a key factor to do that.. at least at this point.. in the future, with a lot more of Pentax FF users they could release a more expensive body, but that was not a good idea to do at their 1st body. .. That was basically my point, but i didnt imagined that the price was going to be $1800 ..

I am pleasantly surprised too at the introductory price; essentially a close to D810 feature wise with a D750 (introductory) price. It's definitely attractive and tempting to get one.

I'm not quite sure I understand the point. Why does it matter of the computer doesn't have a type c input so as long as the camera comes with a type c to type a adapter? Type c is backwards compatible.
I guess I can't really argue with that. For some reason in my mind I was thinking that these various devices are going to be exploiting the throughput offered by USB3.1, but realistically that's not the case. People who need that sort of throughput probably wouldn't be too surprised that they're going to need to make serious upgrades in the first place.
