I'm hoping that won't happen again until they announce the next APS-C camera.

added: I guess I have to take back my words above. From what I'm seeing on other threads, there will be continual moaning about the lack of optional split-prism focus screen for the K-1. I'm satisfied with what the "focus achieved" signal does {along with what I see in the K-30 viewfinder}, but apparently manual focus is becoming a big issue for some.
Isn't the issue exactly the same with ALL FF bodies with sames feature as K-1 ? That is information directly displayed on the screen like the APSC crop ?

Some DA lenses have official FF profiles by Pentax, theses one are the officially supported DA lenses in FF format. For example the DA*200 and DA*300.

Is it the case for the DA40 ? If not, then it is not up to FF standard for Pentax.
The official answer: OK when stopped down.

Google Translate tells me that the test session was very brief, and the conclusions not very reliable. The user was doing things like missing focus sometimes (eg background in focus, not foreground), and blaming the AF for that, calling it 'hestitant' etc.

FWIW, I often use the 4:5 crop mode on my D800 (which results in a 30Mp file size). This is when I know that I will be printing 8x10s (e.g. events and portraits). It *REALLY* helps with composition. Thus my experience is that I would like to have several OOTB "crops" supported, not just 1.5x crop.

yes, but there are several opinions about 70-200

JPEG is good, but nothing to say about RAW - how to open PEF?

PDCU reads the exif but does not display the photo. Fast Picture Viewer displays PEF. Faststone also works.

Just wait a week and take everything until April 25th with salt. Production units aren't officially shipped yet, are they? Test unit posts are either violations of NDA or they aren't production test units, right?

What do you mean officially shipped?
All dealers have got new firmware 1.00 already.
