That's why I asked if we know anything about the motor, spec-wise.
Hi. A buddy of mine now tried a K-1 with DFA 70-200/2.8. According to him, the AF is fast, on par with a D750 + current Tamron 70-200/2.8. So maybe, not all is lost

I received the 70-200mm a few days ago. The motor sounds different than on other Pentax lenses, even the 150-450mm. Will be exciting to test it with the K-1!

I interpret Sony´s press release: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/news/20160418E.pdf that the factory is dammaged , but there are enought sensors in stock.
Are they making the FF sensors at this plant anyway? (A news article said something about small sensors for phones)

Maybe the FF sensors have been reduced to smartphone sensors after the earthcake...

Oh no! Pentax lied once again! It's all BS, there is no FF.

I've heard 25th and 28th never 22nd. But on Pentax K-1 site there is an article released on the 22nd, maybe that is what you saw?

I think I was thinking the deadline date to get in the pre-order prize contest.

Whole lotta nope

When I tried to get info or update on my order with the Pentax USA store, I was told they don't communicate much with Japan and that they would know orders were shipped when users started receiving product. All the pre-orders were handled through a 3rd party site (who also knows nothing). Its been really frustrating leaving the nearly $2k pending with literally zero feedback.

I did notice that today Amazon has posted the K-1 available in the Prime store, so I'm thinking that I may cancel my order with the company directly and move my funds over to Amazon to get free shipping and have the camera in my hands by Wednesday. Not sure if there is any incentive from Pentax USA to keep us all from doing exactly that, but it seems crazy that at this point the general public will almost certainly receive their K-1's through either online or walk-in retailers before any of us pre-order buyers.

Like in the supermarket, it is never a good Idea to switch lines.

Like at the supermarket, if you try to go at the same time of everybody else, you don't have to wait Order in 6 months, likely you'll be able to get it the next day or the day just after
