FWIW, I often use the 4:5 crop mode on my D800 (which results in a 30Mp file size). This is when I know that I will be printing 8x10s (e.g. events and portraits). It *REALLY* helps with composition. Thus my experience is that I would like to have several OOTB "crops" supported, not just 1.5x crop.

PDCU reads the exif but does not display the photo. Fast Picture Viewer displays PEF. Faststone also works.
