... in Berlin, Germany.
Quote: Hey mate, German is a funny language. Maybe you have a little misspelling
"diekameradieallegetränkewiderstehenkann"
<nitpicking>
Actually, "correct" in some ways would be "diekameradiealle
ngetränkenwiederstehenkann" (the camera that can resist all kind of beverages), but not as a compound word. In fact, that won't be compounded at all, even though german is
the great language of compounding.
We've invented that! Or sue anyone saying different.
And, to be
really annoyingly precise, SLR stands for "Einäugige Spiegelreflexkamera" (one-eyed mirror-reflex camera), whilst TLR is a "Zweiäugige Spiegelregflexkamera" (double- or two-eyed mirror reflex camera) and DSLR is a "digitale Spiegelreflexkamera", without discerning eyedness (no wonder, a DTLR would be some kind of invisible pink elephant).
But we're less precise when talking about banks and benches. Same word ("Bank") in german, except in the plural ("Bänke" - benches, "Banken" - banks).
</nitpicking>
Yep. Enough of that, back to fiddling and thumbing all the knobs and wheels ... new toy, won't be heard of for the next weeks to come ...
