If you get to talk to Sigma representatives, ask them if they are no longer interested in providing new lenses in k-mount (full frame and crop)and why so?

Hi Adam, sorry if the point was made already, but it would be very usefull for us to know some of the arguments making "Tamron rebadged lenses" like D-FA24-70mm or D-FA15-30mm more expensive under the Pentax brand, than the original and stabilised Tamron versions : this is a very widespread critic made by a lot of people with limited business culture, that at least would help us to explain.

=> I can see a number of arguments, but would appreciate to get official answers :
- selling volumes
- licence fees
- build materials
- HD coating
- "SDM" AF with "special tweaks" i.o. to be more efficient with Pentax bodies
- different (reinforced) Q/C methods
...

Finally, it would be good to be able to quickly access the "Input Focal Length" screen via either assignment to one of the function buttons or some way to quickly access it from the "SR" setting on the new top knob. This would target pre F-series zoom lens with SR usage.
They added this setting to the customizable control panel, so it should now be much faster to change.

Great news!! Out of curiosity, do you know if it was just added to the control panel in response to requests or was it there before?

They've already answered this recently. The Pentax market is currently too small for Sigma to warrant them producing K mount lenses. They stick to where the money is (currently) at -- Canon, Nikon, and Sony.

It was probably always there. There are lots of new options on the K-1

That is what I figured. My suggestions were kind of a shot in the dark without the user manual to see what they had done. I look forward to seeing the other changes.
