B&H says it will be available February 25. Has anyone pre-ordered yet?

Don't B&H just guess?

I've looked at a MIDI keyboard on there that was slated for a certain day on a certain year. After several months of kicking the ETA down the road, they finally said 'coming soon' with no date. A year later it was still in pre-order.

That is to say, I wouldn't bank on their ETAs.

Exciting times!
I love my DA*50-135 and appreciate the compactness of APS-C telephotos, but man this is tempting.

If it's as good as my Nikkor 70-200 VRII on my D800E/D810 then there'll be no comparison at large print sizes.

BTW: I now have an Epson Stylus Pro 9600 and can print images 44" wide by 12 to 30 meters long, depending on the roll.

If you need a print Sandy you have my number.

Better quality than a lab at maximum DPI and cheaper too.

I'm shocked at the resolution of the prints. Much better than my hi-res monitor.

Any images of the 70-200 [release version]?

I'm curious about any external changes they may have made as a result of the feedback people like asahiman were giving about the first version of the lens. Particularly the placement of the foot.

Unfortunately, I've got both on order, but the pockets aren't deep at all. It's gonna be a hard couple of months, but well worth I hope.

A Pentaxian's options for other 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses is severely limited. I imagine that people will start buying up the older Sigma and Tamron lenses if they're still around. Once those are gone then it will be this or nothing. I hope someone comes out with an alternative offering.
