Sorry, you're right of course. My comment was not specifically aimed at you, yours was just the first r... post that came up after I'd had enough of it.

Hope you are right too.
I also hoped some surprise for the CP+, as @kenspo implied a few days ago, but... :'(
Did i say that it had to be lenses?

Plenty of time to wait for K1 reviews, 70-200 review and to think about other manufacturers gear until 2017...

Pentax should reissue the SMC A 50mm 1.2. Pentax should reissue several of the A series lenses. Nikon still sells their 50mm 1.2 manual lens. Nikon still sells a lot of those manual Ai-S lenses.

I think you're right. I would have expected a return of the 135mm focal length, to fit that description.

Honestly, I think the time frame most likely indicates they're waiting to see if they will sell enough K-1's to justify either tooling up for manufacturing or entering into a commitment with Tamron.

They have been -- and continue being -- very, very cautious in this space.

Yeah, it is time for all of us to take into account the fact that Ricoh has to built a comprehensive and coherent system very quickly, despite rather limited R&D monnies.
So, where's the problem in having partnerships to help launch new products ?
Those who only count price differences and do regret that strategy, forgetting Pentax's unmatched features, have better go mainstream... and shut their mouth

In order to introduce a new lens mount or camera system or FF in case of Pentax obvious options are for primes are 35, 50, 85. 24 and 135 would be quite exotic to start with. Looking at disounts on the macro lenses I would also expect a new 100 macro soon. Large aperture could mean 1.4 or 1.8 these days. time to get rid of DA* 55s which is not FF compatible wide open.
Unmatched featurs are one thing - promising a lens a year ago and delivering it now is something else. Pentax is not presenting a Pentax lens design until 2017! Some can wait not all will.
