Nice, lots of primes. Hopefully "large aperture" refers to nothing less than F1.4

Indeed: the 5 lenses asahi man told us about several months ago.

Actually, he said 5 prime lenses; there are 4 primes and a zoom.

Everything "2017 or later". Strange, I would've thought they would have at least a few to show at Photokina.

A set of f1.8s would do nicely for me, and they are likely to be smaller and less expensive. But I wouldn't cry over f1.4.

Okay, if they're bringing out a full frame fisheye, that kills any intention I had of buying the DA 10-17. I'm sure it's a good lens, but I am planning to switch up at some point, and for a lens with a non-rectilinear projection I'd rather have it optimised for the full sensor size. And while I'm sure by now they won't be putting an aperture ring on it, I should at least be able to slap it on my P3 and P30T and run it in program mode the way I do my DA40 and DA50 from time to time.

well large aperture can be anywhere from f/1.2 to f/1.8, considering the focal length and the size of the K mount itself: f/1.8 seems more likely.

Looking back on older lens roadmaps I suppose we will never see what kind of a lens the DA*30mm was going to be:

Since we already have a DA 50/1.8 I'm sure it won't be a new version of this lens (as it's already fullframe). Also I don't see a 85mm f/1.8 because it would kill sales of the FA77 Limited. So I'm sure the new lenses will be a 50mm f/1.4 (the SMC DA* 55mm f/1.4 will be phased out) and 85mm f/1.4, both with in lens focus motors.

For me, it's "go big or go home". The slower and more compact alternatives are already there in the from of FA Limiteds.

Historically Pentax has been very conservative with wide-aperture lenses, so hopefully they change that up a bit with the K-1. If not, then you're probably right about the F1.8

You own a pentax Q?

Incidentally, the Nikkor f/1.8G full format lens line are very decent performers. If Pentax can come up with a 20~24mm f/1.8, 55~58mm f/1.4 and 90~105mm f/1.8 these FL would hardly affect the appeal of the FA ltds, and in fact would be complimentary to the existing limited lenses.

What then are these two lenses posted in the other thread mystery-lenses-pentax-interview
The fat one could either be a wide angle or a 85, the thin one on the other hand looks more tele/limited?
Is it possible the wide aperture tele and normal are not the rumoured DFA 43/77 limiteds with WR and Aerobright II? (ok the ABCII is my hope)

Surprisingly no long telephoto primes considering the critics for lacking in this area. No D-FA* 300/2,8 or 600/4.

And no super zoom like 28-300.
