BTW, speaking about super telephoto lenses, a big difference with Nikon & Canon is the stabilization: at these focal lengths, having a stabilized lens is a real plus, and it must be really more complex to build. .
Not by much. The big cost is the large front element(s).

^^^ This. One of the two 'insider' posters once said there's the public roadmap and then there's the Roadmap.

Well, it was meant half humorously, but I could really use a DA 12-28 WR! It would be the perfect urban walkaround for me... That DA Wide Zoom has now been on the lensmap for years. And I thought I was buying the Sigma 10-20mm F/4-5.6 as a stop gap measure...

I've posted this list before, but I received a lens survey from Ricoh Japan late last year. When I look at the roadmap they've shown, I'm thinking back to that survey and wondering if they are items from that list. The nomenclature may be relevant to interpret what they are talking about in the roadmap.

Key
Large aperture - They are using this only for 1.4 primes
Ultra wide - They are using this for 20mm and 24mm
広角 Wide - They are using this for 28mm and 35mm
標準 Standard - They are using this for 50mm only
Medium telephoto - They are using this for 85mm and 135mm

Large aperture ultra wide angle prime
Large aperture standard prime
Large aperture medium telephoto prime
Wide angle prime
Wide angle prime

So my guess is we're getting a 35mm f1.8 (maybe the Tamron), a 50mm f1.4, an 85mm f1.4, a 24mm f1.4 and the fisheye zoom.

If some (or all) of these primes will be rebadged Tamrons, I am not sure why they are waiting until "2017 or later" to release them. The time frame is a possible indicator they will not be rebadges.

35/1.8 is unlikely if there are FA31/1.8 and FA35/2

maybe better to produce DFA28/1.8? f2.0?

Who's going to pay such prices for a Pentax lens? Please answer honestly.
A lot of the remaining Pentax customer base is essentially APSC / low budget. A lot of the guys who wanted bigger and had the money for it went to the competition. The good side of Ricoh is that the product portfolio is being renewed with new FF products, but the uncertain thing is how well it will sell simply due to the nature of the average customer base. Once some people will have purchased a K-1, they'll have to wait one or two years to align the money for another lens. Compared to APSC, everything FF is twice the price. That's unfortunate that Pentax let the big budget guys go away.

O_o hundreds of Pentaxians?? You mean, personally? Is there some Pentaxland hidden in Italy?!

I have absolutely no knowledge in lens making, so, I can't say. Obviously, in-lens stabilization has a cost and a weight. In which extent, I'd love to know precisely!

Yes, but OTOH the only way to make them back is to invest and wait (and hope).

That large aperture normal will probably be a refreshed FA 50 f/1.4. But I love a bit-wider normal like the 43mm Limited.

I'd love to see a 43mm f/1.2.

The FA 50 f/1.4 is ultimately a refreshed super-takumar 50mm 1.4 (seven element). I think Pentax will get slapped for it's wide open performance. (I like the glow but people think everything should be tack sharp always nowadays). I don't think just HD coatings will solve it.

The prime. The fixed lens.
